The market town of Götzis lies in the middle of the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley, at altitudes between 413 m (Kommingen) and 1,645 m (Hohe Kugel). The village centre sits 448 m above sea level on the alluvial fan of the Emmebach. Götzis covers an area of 1,465 hectares, and in the mid-1990s its population passed the 10,000 mark.
Götzis is the largest municipality in the Kummen region. Within half an hour, most of Vorarlberg and a good part of the Lake Constance region are at your feet. In thirty minutes you can be in Lindau or the Montafon ski paradise, in St. Gallen or the Bregenzerwald, in Vaduz or on an excursion boat on Lake Constance.
If you plan to visit the Dornbirn trade fair, the Schubertiade or the Bregenz Festival, Götzis is the right place to stay. Götzis has direct access to the Rhine Valley motorway, and the lively railway station is your gateway to half-hourly trains across Vorarlberg.
